Maximum Entertainment Productions (MEP) was founded in 2005 by Eva Price and Avram Freedberg. The purpose of the company is to provide support, development, financing, and production in all areas of entertainment. By forming relationships and providing the necessary resources for artists and investors, Maximum Entertainment provides a vital service for the entertainment industry.
EVA PRICE is a three-time Tony Award-winning producer whose credits include over 18 Broadway plays, musicals, and concerts. She is a member of The Broadway League’s Board of Governors and recently joined the producing team at Level Forward, a new entertainment enterprise started by Killer Content and Abigail Disney to create story-driven/impact-minded properties across live, digital and filmed platforms; focusing on work, by and for, marginalized communities. Current and notable productions include: Oklahoma! For five years Eva worked as an assignment editor and coordinating producer for special projects at ABC News, spending her last year producing and reporting on stories relating to Broadway for ABCNEWS.COM.
AVRAM C. FREEDBERG's current business ventures encompass direct to consumer marketing of coins and bullion collectibles to cosmetics and skin care products, entertainment and thoroughbred horse racing. He wishes to nurture talent and has been lucky enough to be surrounded by gifted colleagues, like Eva Price, Mary Beth Dale and Harvey Fishman. Before MEP, he was the co-producer of Private Jokes, Public Places off-Broadway and has mounted, re-staged and produced Jerry Zaks in Tuscaloosa’s Calling Me … But I’m Not Going! (winner of the Outer Circle Critics Award for Best Off-Broadway musical) for the Broadway on Showtime Pay-TV series. Mr. Freedberg produced a comedy special called “Cocktails with the Comic Storytellers” for Showtime. In addition, he has been an investor in the Broadway productions of Little Shop of Horrors, The Producers, Long Days Journey Into Night, The Sound of Music, the new Flower Drum Song, Enchanted April, Triumph of Love, the Off-Broadway production, My Old Lady, and the road tours of The Producers and Swing. Freedberg has published twelve books, distributed package goods samples to college students through bookstores and, through sales of coins and collectibles, has raised over $2 million for several September 11th related charities. CARL FLANIGAN, prior to joining MEP, led the international new projects expansion of Blue Man Group’s theatrical business as General Manager and Head of Development. Over a ten-year period, he supervised over thirty productions including their acclaimed US National Tour and productions on the West End, Tokyo and Berlin. He helped expand their initiatives in private branded entertainment, concert tours, film, TV, digital, publishing and transmedia properties. He started his commercial theatre career as a technical associate on the first company of The Lion King at the New Amsterdam Theatre. He continued as a production manager in the technical and design department at Disney Theatrical and later joined the General Management and Marketing team that licensed and marketed all of Disney’s shows in Europe, South America and Asia and was instrumental in the development of the musical education partnership with Music Theatre International. Carl is from Western Pennsylvania and holds degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of Southern California where he was a Presidential Fellow at the Marshall School of Business.
