Cruel Intentions: The Musical returned to (Le) Poisson Rouge in New York City in November 2017. It was originally scheduled to play a two-and-a-half month run but was extended through April 8. The show played a sold-out, pop-up engagement at the cabaret venue earlier in 2017 following two hit productions in Los Angeles.

Adapted from Roger Kumble’s 1999 thriller of the same name, Cruel Intentions: The Musical is created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin, and Roger Kumble, and features 90s hits as well as songs from the cult film’s soundtrack. The show features immersive stage direction by Rosin, choreography by Jennifer Weber, and music direction and arrangements by Zach Spound.

Cruel Intentions follows two privileged step siblings who play the ultimate game of seduction and revenge at an elite Manhattan school. The story is based on the 1782 French novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Cruel Intentions: The Musical is produced by Eva Price and Sucker Love Productions. The show debuted at The Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles in 2015, where it ran for 38 sold-out performances, before transferring to L.A.’s Prospect Theatre, where it sold out again, in November 2016. The 2017 pop-up engagement at (Le) Poisson Rouge marked the show’s New York premiere.
